Ground Hog Day bright and early at The Shell Factory on Tuesday, February 2

NORTH FORT MYERS, FL (January 26, 2010) –If Thomas Edison can winter in Southwest Florida, so can one of Punxsutawney Phil’s kin folk.

Punxsutawney Phil is a groundhog and the most famous resident of Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania.  On February 2nd of each year, the town of Punxsutawney celebrates their beloved groundhog with a festive atmosphere.  During the ceremony, Phil emerges from his home on Gobbler’s Knob and, according to the tradition, if Phil sees his shadow and returns to his hole, the world will suffer six more weeks of winter.  If Phil does not see his shadow, spring will arrive early. Harbour House at the Inn is a three story mixed-use 34-unit boutique hotel located on Old San Carlos Blvd. in the downtown district of Fort Myers Beach adjacent to the Matanzas Inn Resort and within walking distance to the beach, restaurants and shopping. Shell Factory launches Holiday Amusement Package for Kids

NORTH FORT MYERS, FL (December 11, 2009) – The weeks leading up to holidays can be hectic, especially for families with little ones out of school and relatives taking a break from the chilly north.

The Shell Factory and Nature Park wants to help parents get their kids and company out of the house and into the fun with a Children’s Holiday Amusement Package.  From December 19 thru January 3, for every $50 spent by individuals anywhere on the Shell Factory grounds they will receive a free Children’s Amusement Package valued at $32. The amusement package includes Nature Park admission, Mining Rig fee, paddleboat rental, miniature golf, water wars, arcade tokens as well as admission to the Shell Factory’s Natural History Exhibit and new Pirates Grotto. Harbour House at the Inn is a mixed-use 34-unit boutique hotel located on Old San Carlos Blvd. in the downtown district of Fort Myers Beach adjacent to the Matanzas Inn Resort and within walking distance to the beach, restaurants and shopping. The resort broke ground in the spring of 2008 and is scheduled to open this winter.
